University of Nottingham Ingenuity Awards Dinner

April 25, 2019

We attended the glamorous award ceremony at St Mary's church and were overwhelmed to win £4,000 from the Brenda Dean Ingenuity Scholarship Award. The big award of the night however was NAT winning the £4,000 Experian Social Impact Prize which will do wonders for our reputation as it specifically recognised the social impact of NAT within the refugee and asylum seeker communities.  The  evening was a great opportunity to network and NAT received offers to help us develop technical solutions: 1 hour legal and 1 hour accountancy solutions.  Experian also offered ideas to support business start up ideas, possibly a pop up café to help refugee women develop a catering business.    It has been an exhausting process but well worth it.  It has been an amazing couple of months!
